CONSTRUCTION PROJECT REPORTING
Aerial video is an effective tool for tracking project milestones, assessing contractor progress, managing your project and communicating with your team. KDM Aerial Solutions offers our clients monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, providing full post production on stills and feature videos with quick and efficient turn around.
DETAILED INSPECTION REPORTS
Utilising UAV technology we are able to conduct detailed asset inspections that are both cost effective and safer to run by removing the need for scaffolding and/or cherry pickers to conduct quick and efficient first inspections. In this process, clients have the opportunity to work alongside our team onsite and view our live video feed, as well as having recorded HD content available moments after landing for further review and inspection.

ELEVATION MODELLING & TOPOGRAPHIC MAPPING
With the use of UAV’s we can create detailed models which allow you to see key features and elevations of surrounding areas with a high degree of accuracy. This will give you a unique vantage point on your area of interest, the natural state of it and the ability to observe natural run off features and catchment areas. Using this information you will have the ability to implement corrective actions to suit your needs such as water shed analysis, drainage planning and general fall of the surrounding area to predict storm events etc.
CUT & FILL CALCULATIONS
Cut and fill calculations are needed to effectively grade and level a site in preparation for works to be completed. With the use of UAV’s we can create an accurate cut and fill calculation saving time and money compared to traditional survey. With the use of the viewing portal it allows our clients to begin future forecasting of works to be completed and be informed of the amounts of material to be dealt with.
STOCKPILE CALCULATIONS
By carrying out one off or multiple flights of an area we can calculate large and small stockpiles in a fraction of the time while spending less time on site to avoid interrupting productivity. By carrying out routine flights of a stockpile or stockpiles we are able to track the progress of pile consumption on a monthly basis. This will allow you to not only view these numbers on a monthly basis for costing and budgeting but also help you build a portfolio of this for future forecasting.
BLAST VOLUME FORECASTING
Using UAV’s gives us the ability to measure your area of interest in correlation with information about drill hole depths for explosives, we can forecast the number of solid meters to be extracted. Accompanying the software is a tonnage calculator which will allow you to enter the density of the material and re-forecast new, more ‘real world’ volume projections. This may help with decision making, costing, allocation of area for storage of material and future forecasting.
SLOPE / GRADE & DISTANCE MEASUREMENTS
Our 3D modelling gives you the ability to see your site from any vantage point and take accurate measurements of features including road length and width, the distance between area of works in relation to stockpile areas as well as measuring areas for site sheds, offices and access points. Our clients can easily measure the grade of bund walls to ensure they are at safe working conditions as well as measuring banks and bunds before topsoiling. Clients can also measure the grade of a haul route leading into a mine or quarry to ensure safe conditions are being met and identify areas that may need attention.
DILAPIDATION REPORTS
With the use of UAV’s we are able to perform dilapidation inspection’s to assist in reporting on the current condition of neighbouring properties, buildings and structures prior to works commencing. A dilapidation inspection and report will assist in noting any defects or problems of the surrounding properties to protect your company from any third party damage claims that may arise from works being completed. KDM will provide you with video and photo evidence of current conditions as well as a written report of any current issues.
